Following the transfer of PITO (Police Information Technology Organisation) to the National Policing Improvement Agency (NPIA), Metaskil has been retained as a supplier to the new body, which took over from April 2007.
NPIA’s key thrust will be around the IMPACT programme and creating the Police National Database for improved communication and information sharing between the forces. This will be developed in successive stages over the next 10 years.
Richard Hornblow, Metaskil’s Managing Director, said “We are delighted to be retained in this way and look forward to supporting the programme. Much of our earlier involvement has been in the area of best practice and programme assurance, and I believe we can offer a great deal as this challenging new programme develops.”
